Lovely birthday treat. Placed in secluded area of restaurant as requested. First time back since renovations. Best steak ever......cooked to perfection. Husband enjoyed the sea bass chillies additional extra. Disappointed with dessert. Was expecting traditional cheesecake, but charge for these was very kindly removed from the bill. Lovely, friendly and professional waitresses. Will definitely go again and recommend to family and friends. Thank you Parking: Good parking facilities. Just tap car registration onto tablet as you enter the restaurant to park for free.
All the food was really good and the service was very friendly. The atmosphere was also really nice. The flowers on the tables were real instead of dusty plastic ones like I usually see in pubs. My partner really likes fried squid but had struggled to find a place that really nails it: crispy but not overcooked and not rubbery. This place had the perfect fried squid. We loved everything else we got as well: fried brie pictured, chicken Caesar salad, sticky chicken, chips, and scallops.
Easter Sunday lunch. Booked a table online that morning. But not as busy as expected with some free tables. Staff were polite and helpful. We ordered the roasts and they were served within a few minutes. Potions were large, glad we didnt have starters and could not have managed a desert. Would recommend.
First time here following the refurbishment. Ample parking but only 2 disabled bays that I could see. The decor very warm and welcoming but you can still smell the paint from the toilets from where we were sitting. Now to the negative stuff, we had to wait a bit to be shown to our table as there was no one in the reception area. The young lady took us to a corner table and only handed us the drinks menu. We waited nearly 25 minutes and still no one came to our table. I literally had to get up and go to the bar and ask for the food menu and to be served. The waiting time for the drinks, starter and main meal was abysmal. We ordered margaritas and it came without the salt around the glasses, the starters were average and bland and the main was so so. The curry I had was with chicken and it was not cooked properly. Overall really disappointed.
Came here for a Christmas meal. The food was okay, but didn't wow me. However, I was very pleased with the service. When my daughter's panko breaded brie only had the coating, the server was very apologetic and arranged for a fresh order. But why would anyone send out a meal like that in the first place?! Overall the staff were very attentive. My son's bitter mojito was replaced and extra sugar syrup given.
Gorgeous refurb, delicious food and friendly, attentive service. Had a lovely lunch and cannot wait to go back. Special mention to Elise & Miles - both an asset to the team!! Kid-friendliness: Access to high chairs - staff really friendly and aware of not putting food and drinks within the reach of little fingers!
Had a fantastic meal on Boxing Day with a big group of friends. The food was absolutely amazing. The service couldn’t have been any better. Ryan made sure that we were all happy and made sure that we were happy all the way through. Thank you to all the staff that work through there Christmas to make sure that we had an amazing meal!
We came for my mums 70th birthday and we were quite a large party of 14. The team did a great job looking after us and getting our food out swiftly, I was really impressed. It was pretty seamless, and I was really happy and my mum really enjoyed it. The food was also really good. The only negative was the toilets - they could do with a bit more attention cleaning wise.
We hadn’t visited the Tudor Rose before but I understand that it has recently gone under new management. We had an excellent Sunday lunch as a party of 7 including 3 young children. We were looked after by Louis who made the experience even better. Louis was very friendly and attentive and made sure that the kids were happy! The food was also brilliant and we would definitely recommend the roast and the dirty burger! The desserts looked so good that we had to try those too! I have already booked to go back for a Christmas event but I expect we’ll be back sooner than that as well!
Really enjoyed the Tudor Rose. Haven’t eaten here since before the refurbishment. Had the pork belly with scallops. Was amazing. My wife had the diavolo pizza. That was very dry but the flavours were good. Olly was our waiter for the evening he was really good. Really nice guy. The place caters well for a baby and a pram.
