"We are a proper pub situated by the first lock on the River Thames. We are old school and most of our food is prepared and cooked in house, so at busy times there may well be a wait. In the summer, our riverside garden is a great place to sit and while away an hour or two and in the winter, our roaring fires are a welcoming sight."

Been here before and the food was lovely. Popped in Sunday and was a little disappointed Sorry guys. 2 meals with drinks £42 which is fine if its good value for money. The burger was however, the steak wasn't. I'd have expected it to.come on a large plate with the chips etc all together but it came separately and really not appetising. Pictures attached. Great service and friendly staff.
Wonderful 700 year old pub. Fresh made food and fantastic cocktails from the employees. Highly recommend reservations on Sunday.

I don't give 5 stars because nothing's perfect, and, there's always something that can be improved, anyway, this Pub is a fantastic place, you can smell the History in it, the good food and the surroundings. Meals are great, i had half a chicken on my first visit to The Trout Inn, being Portuguese I'm a bit picky/demanding when referring to grilled chicken, but this one was cooked to perfection, and i was happy with my choice, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, fully recommend. Today 29/05/22 had a beef burger, the first option from the burger section on the menu, thick burger, medium rare as i like it, 3 nice onion rings and a leaf of lettuce, taaaaasty burger, came with a portion of chips, good quality also. Can't wait to try the salmon. The staff are very friendly and go the extra mile to keep the Costumer happy. Thank you for charging my phone Animal/dog friendly pub, with a big beergarden, equipped with a big tent, and heaters, and a nice view over the Thames. Generous car park, and a massive overflow carpark, usually with caravans and camper vans. Fully recommended this Pub, it's a relic
Popped in for a quick drink and a bite to eat whilst out for a walk. Sandwiches were well presented and very tasty with lots of salad and crisps to go with them. We also shared a side of chips too which were again very tasty. Very refreshing and a restock of energy for the rest of the walk
This is an amazing place, the food is very nice. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait but definitely worth the time as well due to the popularity of this pub. The staff are quite nice and has an amazing view overlooking the river. What is also very good is that it's dog friendly

Great old pub right by the river. Great outside space in the summer, be warned it is very popular. Good selection of food at reasonable prices. There are plenty of specials, especially desserts. Our mains were very filling so we didn't get the chance to try any desserts. There is plenty of parking, including an overflow park.
Very nice people and the food was beyond great! The pub itself has a great atmosphere and with the fire on pretty cozy. Next time we’re in the Cotswolds we definitely going to visit it.
Have been camping at The Trout for over 20 years and it's one of our favourite places. Penny, Lizzie and all the staff are lovely and fantastic food.
