Avoid this pub like the plague. The staff is completely incompetent. I waited at the bar for 20 minutes to order food, despite the fact that I was at the bar far longer than the other they chose to serve before me. The till girl at the bar made me run my card three separate times. Each time, I had already returned to sit down. They failed to tell me it would be an hour wait for food. In fact, we had to wait so long that we had to cancel our plans for the night. You can't do any worse than this pub. Seriously, anything is better than this place. I brought my family here from America to try a Sunday roast and was so embarrassed that this establishment represented the UK and the British people. They're so much better than this, but my family wouldn't know based on their first impression of an English meal. Honestly, go anywhere else but the treacle mine. Your pounds are better spent elsewhere.

Great food, warm atmosphere. The staff are lovely and it's a great place for a catch-up. Good place for watching the footie. Can either choose the quiet part or the slightly rowdier part. Either way, good for everyone.

I'll be short and to the point. Service terrible, food terrible, attitude terrible and cleanliness well if I had a dog i wouldn't take it there. This pub has nose dived since being taken over. Why a breakfast for 4 should take over and hour to cook and serve when there are 5 other people in the pub is beyond a joke. Not only did our friends eat and finished before ours were even served, but my 2 year old was starving. The manager didn't give a toss and when the chef called service she told him to wait 3 times before collecting the food and then stood by the kitchen door talking. Cutlery was filthy, the table was sticky and well the food was shocking. Shame there isn't a NO STAR option. Take heed DON'T GO THERE!

Went here for birthday meal. After reading mixed reviews I decided to chance it, so glad we did the meal was excellent and tasty and desert was very nice too. My 6 year old daughter enjoyed her meal too. The meal was cheap and would come again.

Great value, staff, entertainment, sport, atmosphere and selection of drinks. Always enjoy my visit. Nice to be recognised and welcomed like your part of the family. Brilliant and best pub in area.
