The food quality has gone from average to amazing. Everything we have ordered from the new menu has been absolutely delicious. The portion size of the Chipotle Chicken was right. The Steaks on grill night were amazing. One of the best meals I have had in a long time. Please keep it up! See the photo - ignore the extra tomato and mushroom...my wife is fussy. [UPDATE: Since writing this 5 star review I have returned numerous times just for the quality to go down. Yesterday, I had the same main. The steak wasn't trimmed properly and was full of gristle, plus the chips were overcooked and hard. Really substandard. I had high hopes that this new menu and standard would become the new norm.]
Had an amazing time, only downside was only had 2 hrs to explore. Lovely people, great talks and amazing place. Great for all ages, lots to see and do.
This was our first visit for sometime and we were very pleased. Myself, my wife and our special needs son went for tea. We did reserve a table, for 5pm and the pub was fairly quiet. We chose one of the special offer menus and had:- Gammon and chips Chilli and A burger. All were very well prepared, presented and good to eat. We followed that with a waffle and two treacle puddings and again very enjoyable. The staff were lovely especially the lady in charge so all in all we were pleased with the food and service and will be back.
We had our Christmas Day meal here today as we have for the past 3 years but today was the best yet!!!!! Food fabulous service great and lovely atmosphere. The staff are so friendly and attentive. Great day
The atmosphere was warming, it was busy but we had pre-booked so no wait. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was nice and tasteful. The table and surrounding areas were clean. The toilets were ok I have seen worst. The only thing which was a bit of a downer was, I thought I could use my blue light card and so did the bar attender but I couldn’t, as it not valid at weekends. Overall a nice place not to expensive and pub food was good
Great place when they offer a deal on meals. Can be very busy so always ideal to reserve a table if eating as it gets very packed and can't guarantee a table.. could do with extra staff on bar during busy times
Breakfast with Santa experience. Food was good, choices for our children. Didn't seem ready when we arrived. Storyline with Santa was fab, but didn't like the elf taking pictures of children without parental consent.
