Story

Situated on the A146 between the fishing port of Lowestoft (5 miles) and the Market Town of Beccles (3 miles), the Three Horseshoes offers a vast array of refreshments and good traditional home cooked food in a Family run Pub. And it’s not just any pub, the Three Horseshoes is said to be one of the oldest remaining working pubs in the area dating back to 1497, and is seated in front of the splendid medieval parish church, St. Botolph.

With ample off-road parking and indoor and outdoor seating (including the new Beer Garden which is under development), this all year round country pub and restaurant is a great place to visit.

The Three Horseshoes is just a short walk from the River Waveney which spans the Suffolk and Norfolk Broads. Although you cannot reach the pub directly by water, the X2 bus route stops very close by, and cycle route 30 runs right passed the entrance. There are also several footpaths that are close enough to make a detour for a quick half whilst out rambling or bird watching!

North Cove is not short of local attractions either, so why not wind up your day out in our Family, Child and Dog Friendly pub? Relax in front of the Log Fire in the colder months, or take in the fresh air and views from our beautiful outdoor area.

Absolutely amazing Thai Paneang pork tenderloin curry followed by chocolate brownie. Can't recommend enough and the bonus was we stayed in our motorhome onsite!

We held the wake after my Mother’s funeral here at the end of February 2023. The private room was perfect, with seating and tables. There was limitless tea and coffee which we helped ourselves to. The buffet food was ideal which we chose the week before,and Shelagh was very honest with regards to how many we would need to cater for. She dissuaded us from increasing the number we thought we should have catered for assuring us there would be plenty of food and she was so right!! There were about thirty of us, plenty of food and plenty of room for more people. I  would certainly recommend the Three Horseshoes for a Wake, especially as it was not to far from the Crematorium.

Fantastic little pub.. Beer is good and service very friendly but the food is awesome and well worth a visit I must say!! We've been a few times but sadly not 2023 yet.. But we will very soon as it amazing honest food...

Fantastic Find! Visited on a Sunday evening with friends, and left thoroughly impressed with both the hearty food on offer, as well as the wonderful atmosphere. Cosy pub, warm hospitality, tasty food and great music. What more could you want from a country pub! We will certainly be back.

We have been to lots of events there and have never been disappointed. The landlady does an amazing job for where it is positioned. Everyone is very friendly and will talk to anyone new too.

Probably the friendliest pub I've ever been to! Came with a baby and toddler and the staff and locals went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Great home cooked food in front of a roaring fire- just perfect.

Lovely staff great with children very welcoming. Games provided which was a lovely added bonus for my daughters it kept them amused. Food was beautifully presented and tasty. Too expensive for us as a family though to re visit sadly. Menu also rather limited.

Had lunch there and it was absolutely delicious.  Staff were really friendly and we felt very welcomed.
