Visited today for lunch with friends. It’s a nice place and the staff were very welcoming and attentive. The food however was really not very good. I had the Calamari to start which was overcooked and every piece had a weird stringy thing in it about 1.5 inches long. The main course was the fish and chips. The fish was small and shrivelled up and completely overcooked and had no flavour. It’s a shame about this as otherwise the place is nice and in a nice location. However I will not be going back again after this bad experience.

Excellent food, great staff, and very cozy. Highly recommended. Making a reservation is advised if dining in. Enjoy!

We have visited several times now and have always had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The service is great. When we arrived, we placed our order for drinks and were asked if we would like to find a table and our drinks would be brought down to us. We opted for the fish sharer board, we've previously had the meat boards both of which are very nice especially if you are looking for a lite bite. We will certainly be visiting again.

Popped in for a few beers as I used to drink there regularly back in the day. Had a pleasant time reminiscing with friends. Although we didn’t eat, it smelt rather nice of food and was pleasantly quite busy.

Good cosy atmosphere. Ordered a table by the fire and was promised it would be lit for the night we arrived but was disappointed when it wasnt, even though the weather was horrid outside. Food was ok, ordered the rib and it came out 80 percent just fat, 20 percent edible. The coleslaw was very sloppy considering it was described as 'chunky slaw' .. And having just seen someones previous photo of the same dish... Looked like they got ours out the tub and added extra mayo... I would come again but would not be ordering the same dish, especially for the price we paid, i would have expected to have most of my meal edible...!
