Popped in here today for lunch as we were in the area. Staff very friendly and welcoming. My partner had mussels to start which were very moorish. Both of us had traditional roast dinners for our mains. There was plenty of everything & presented very well. The only critique we would give is that home made Yorkshire puddings would have been ideal rather than the frozen kind. If we were in the area we would visit again.

Great pub that feels far more "countryside" than its location. The food is good and there's a great beer selection. There's parking, open fireplaces, and loads of nooks and crannies that you can get comfortable in.

We went here for the Monday deal - £29 for 2 steaks and unlimited wine. In short, it was the best meal we've had in the area! Really good quality and large steaks, they cater fully for Gluten Free, and the staff (all of them including Katie and Charline) were genuinely beaming with great service. No plastic professional smiles, genuine people with fab food at a great price. Highly recommended.

Visited with a friend. Nice atmosphere but wasn't impressed with the starter. Cost of £7 for tomatoes with mozerella and basil. For this we received a big slice of tomato on top of creme fraiche with 4 quarters of tomatoes and 6 very small cubes of hard mozerella and no basil! Yes we did speak to management as we felt we were paying £7 for tomatoes. She was very understanding and took these off our bill. Our main meal was burgers and these were very good, definitely homemade.

A great experience for a family from 18 months to 70 years old. We had a lovely waitress who helped make us feel at home, we all really enjoyed the food that was presented and tasted great.
