We travel pass lyndhurst during our exploration of the new forest and decided to explore this nice and quaint town. While walking around the Main Street we came in to this tea house for a tart and ice cream. Amazing tarts here, one of the very best in England and the ice cream is great too. Would have come back for the food if we were not just passing by.
We had a double espresso, the cookies and cream frappe, the apple cake and toffee and apple cake. Both cakes were very moist and very fresh, the toffee one was a bit too sweet but that is just personal taste. We sat outside, lovely spot to see the world go by.
5 stars all around!! What a lovely little place ! What wonderful staff and the croissants omG ! In fact everything we tried was amazing ! ! Vegetarian options: Plenty
Welcoming tea room with friendly staff. Wait to be seated and pay at the table. Very nice afternoon tea. Amazing fruit scone and good value. We enjoyed the Lyndhurst Tea House.
We had a very enjoyable, tasty lunch here the other day. The staff are friendly, the service is good, and I would definitely recommend the milkshakes!
We had Valentine’s Day breakfast here and can honestly rate it 5 stars. Rustic style cafe with staff who make you feel welcome and valued. Breakfast was best I’ve had out. Hot well cooked food. Fresh tasty eggs etc. Toast and marmalade . Coffee great. Well behaved dogs made welcome too. Definitely my favourite place at the moment. For coffee and cake, cream tea or afternoon tea great freshly cooked selection. Great menu. All Meals sound good value.
visited the tra house for brunch. bacon and eggs were very good, a rather generous portion too for the price. also treated myself to cream tea but the scones were not crumbly and the amount of jam for 2 scones really not enough. still, a 4* for the welcoming and friendly service
We ordered 3 kids menu meals. 2 adult meals... They couldn't get the kids' meals right... And the 2 adult meals - sausage baguette and bacon baguette were both mediocre... All of this for just shy of £40. I ranked this place highly in the past, but after today, I am very disappointed. I wouldn't return in a hurry... :-
Very pleasant tea room, which also serves cooked meals. Very friendly welcome. Tea and coffee were good and the fruit cake tasty, the apple cake delicious. We visited on a quiet day out of season. They offer simple food/cakes, provided properly. A credit to their town.Food: 4/5
What a lovely little place! We chose to stop here,as they had a wide selection of Gluten Free options for my wife. Service was great, everyone enjoyed their food and the cost was very reasonable, especially considering the location. We will definitely visit again, when we are in the area!
