We visited the Swan for a late lunch, the food was delicious. It wasn't too busy, the service was very prompt and the waitresses were cheerful. A great menu to choose from, the pea and mint risotto was excellent The surroundings were lovely and it was spotless. Will definitely visit again.
Went here today for the first time with my partner and friends. I must say the food was outstanding..best pie have ever had.. Loved the atmosphere and decor of the place. Staff friendly too. Definitely go again
Wonderful pub whether you’re there for drinks only, dinner, or a special occasion meal. The decor is fantastic and really cosy, with the open fire, bar seating, relaxing drinks area as well as a proper dining section at the rear. In the summer months the outdoor patio and garden is brilliant, and never suffers from a poorer service. Toilets and tables are always spotlessly clean, there’s loads of parking spaces, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. It’s a great pub and an asset to the area, and I’ll be sure to keep returning!
Me and my father had a lovely lunch here. Very nice ambience to the place- lovely decor and very clean. We had the mussels and fries and the chickpea burger, which were both very tasty. The service was fantastic- very friendly staff, especially Ben. We really enjoyed our meal here and will be back again.
I not going to lie we weren’t intending to to come here. We only can after the falcon which booked at where short and led to kitchen without then telling us I may add. However we then opted to come here and unlike the Falcon no problems what so ever. The staff where very attentive and food was divine. I don’t remember waiting to long for food either. It just felt so open as well. Definitely will consider coming back again.
An excellent Sunday lunch time meal at the Swan. It was fully booked so it was worth booking ahead. Great food. The roasts looked amazing but this time I had the smoked salmon open sandwich. A large piece of ciabatta with plenty of cream cheese, smoked salmon and cucumber.
Tried to visit for an early lunch with our two children. Came in at 11:45- pub and restaurant were literally EMPTY. Was told no space available, not willing to try and accommodate. Very poor customer service.
Very disappointed. For the past 20 years, this delightful pub has been a favoured place to meet friends travelling from Luton and Peterborough. We have never had the need to reserve a table and have always had a very good offering of great food and friendly staff. However, yesterday we were told quite bluntly, that food could only be served to customers that had reserved a table as ‘the kitchen was too hot for the chef’. There was no mention of being short staffed. We appreciate we are in a heatwave, and yesterday was very hot, but the pub and garden was literally empty at 1pm, although we were told the chef was working to capacity. We asked the staff if they could offer us a salad or a sandwich, which we would have been very happy with, and would have guaranteed us spending the afternoon buying plenty of cool drinks, but not interested. Such a shame. We took our business to the lovely Milll coffee shop just round the corner.
Good service, staff were friendly and humorous. Offered my dog some water and and made us feel welcome. The food was enjoyable, but the lamb was a little bit fatty. One of my regular pubs, would definitely recommend
Second time eating at this pub. Both times had terrible food - this time I had a burger. it had 3 tiny bits of onion inside, burnt stale bun, and you can tell it’s poor quality meat. There was also something inside my chips and waited over an hour for our meal. Slow, poor quality food. The gentleman that dealt with us was lovely, only pro.
