Cracking traditional country pub and well deserving of its CAMRA accolades. The ales are extremely well kept and the landlady highly hospitable. A charming Suffolk rural gem.

Wow what a pub. By chance we booked The Star and we loved it. Carl booked us in and was there to welcome us. His wife who I didn’t catch the name of was equally lovely. Real Suffolk hospitality. You must visit as pubs like this are rare. We’ll done.
I like the eclectic nature of this pub the choices of Brews available are wonderful we were unable to have any food there. We were outdoors due to the pandemic.
Lunchtime visit. Super dog friendly, beer garden available. Historic quirky pub. Lunches 12-2 not Sun or Mon & evenings 6-8pm again not Sun or Mon. Bar hours 12-3 & 6-9 Tues to Sat and Sundays 12-4 BYO food. Excellent range of cask & drafts. Car park and a MUST VISIT. Halesworth - Southwold bus stops outside.
Lovely local pub, great food and good beer. Very friendly staff who were both knowledgeable and helpful in drink selection and the local area. Be sure to check opening times.
Nice little pub, the food i had was great. The reason for 4 stars is there isn’t much choice on the menu.
