The staff here are lovely, especially the chef, goes above and beyond. The rooms are comfortable but a bit tired. The noise from the pub across the road was awful, worse night sleep I've had in a long time. To top it off the room next door put the TV on at 6am, we could hear every word!  Considering this is an old building the walls must be extremely thin. Our room was also very hot, there was a fan.....but more noise ! We did have a lovely weekend just lacking on sleep.

I just wanted to leave a review to say a huge thank you to Emma, the deputy manager at The Star and Garter. We were locked out of another local hotel and she could not have done more to help us findna room at 1.30am!. She was so supportive and friendly which was exactly what we needed during a pretty rubbish situation. We really appreciate you going the extra mile to get things sorted. Thank you

What a great friendly hotel. Conveniently situated off the High St in Andover. Really warm welcome on arrival. Room very comfortable with everything you’d need. Spotlessly clean throughout. Amazing breakfast, buffet with just about everything plus cooked food. Free car park at rear of building. A great value stay.

We had a fabulous couple of days in this quaint little hotel.nThe staff were very accommodating, as we wanted to use the breakfast room in the evening to play cards.nActual breakfast was really tasty. There was a choice of full English or Continental.nWould happily visit again!

Stayed here over 10 times. Lovely courtyard and rooms attached. Plenty of parking. Location is right in town. Staff are great and the rooms are good value for money however. Only downfall, no bar.
