Wetherspoons is what it is, this one the table hadn't been cleaned before I sat down at it and it wasn't cleaned before my all day brunch arrived. The meal was piping hot and prepared with the usual speed that you expect from the chain. This bar has very little natural light in it, apart from the area directly in front of the bar. I ordered twice and was called Darling twice by the friendly bar maid, this may offend certain customers? Ordering my brunch and a pint was around £2 cheaper than the price on the menu, as it was 3pm, I suspect that there was an offer on. I was not disappointed not over whelmed by the experience, I will visit again in the future.
Disgusting type of weatherspoons I've seen, food wasn't the best with being burnt and they even overcharged us for so called "food packages", says a lot when eating here or even drinking, again only good for drinks yet CAMERAS IN TOILETS!!!! Okay this is what made me instantly put a 1 star review down for this place, shocking how they break privacy laws and its not the first time I've saw the company do this, why do you need CAMERAS IN TOILETS? Can a man not do their private business without gazing eyes? Absolutely disgusting when perving on others nature habits when they need to go, never again will I be visiting here. Making this review so others can see what type of nasty business practices they are doing for us common folks, let it be known a man nor woman can take a breather without a camera snooping on their habits behind private doors!!! Shame on you weatherspoons for seeping this low.
It's a spoons. As far as the chain goes, this one is typically busy throughout the day, portion sizes were smaller than expected, but the drinks and draught were clean and refreshing. 3/5 food, 4/5 drinks, 4/5 cleanliness, 4/5 atmosphere. Generally a nice and pleasant experience, I would recommend if you are in the area and wanting a quick bite, or a fast drink. If you aren't looking for a generic spoons experience, I would recommend finding the other pubs or cafes in the area, which there are an abundance of in BP Auckland.
Can't beat a Wetherspoons! Great breakfast and coffee sitting by the roaring fire.
Sitting with the people I had been walking with. 2 pints of Shipyard ale, a beautiful and very large fish and chips for £12.70. Is not a bad way to end a day's walking.
If you want a quick meal then this is a good place to go. Food is cheap and cheerful. On a day time you will find your early drinkers in their being rowdy. No music
Staff very rude, had to wait to be served as the barmaid walked away to sort glasses and ignored me until another member of staff highlighted the fact that there was a customer waiting. I was buying a deli meal deal and queried the price of increasing the Diet Coke to a pint, this was sorted and confirmed after I explained the menu, I ordered a small portion of chips to go with the double order. I was overcharged by £5 and told in a insolent manner by another member of staff that the register dictates the price maybe inputted incorrectly and more training need and it gives the customer the best price for them in my case a £5 overcharge, she was extremely unpleasant, therefore I asked her to cancel the order and received via my bank card, this has not been credited to my account yet so hopefully I won’t have to go back for further abuse! Extremely dissatisfied! If I could give a minus score I would.
The Stanley Jefferson Wetherspoons feels about as old and smelly as Stanley’s corpse himself. The atmosphere inside makes a perfect match to host a wake. The complimentary flies around your grid and microwaved food add to the whole dining experience. 10/10 would recommend if you’re frank Gallagher. I’m also sure a new strain of covid is brewing in this pub , cleanliness is non existent just like the locals.
Been in for breakfast today no eggs ...so okay still get breakfast for it to be stone cold... then come with luke warm one no butter .the toast hadn't seen a toaster. Absolutely disgrasful. No milk . Tea bags spliting. No organisation at all
Manager brought food then halfway into eating she rudely came over and told us we needed to pay for an additional dish that they mistakenly brought out which we thought was part of our chicken dish. She was rude and intimidating and made us both uncomfortable.
