Always very busy,especially on a football/rugby weekend,but staff work hard to ensure everyone gets served as soon as possible. As a former bank,the interior has a high ceiling,but good atmosphere. Not a quiet pub,but geographically it is a great meeting up place located in the very center of town.

Visited this pub very close to Christmas on a day of a football match and it was very busy. The staff were very accommodating and found us a table. We each had a burger which we really enjoyed. The food was well made and tasted lovely. The toilets are down the stairs, it is quite a walk. However there is a disabled toilet on the main floor. Very clean and very warm.

Utterly awful experience in this place. I was on a family night out, having a great evening until we decided to nip in for a drink. This was half nine and none of us were in a state of disrepair. I was targeted by the bouncers for no reason at all and asked to leave. Neither of them could give a valid reason.Their tone was very (and needlessly aggressive) Still waiting for an apology from the management two months later. Avoid!

My favourite Witherspoon's with as usual brilliant meal deals with whatever Alcoholic drink or soft drinks is your tipple. Always busy but spotlessly clean, pleasant hard working staff and always meeting people from other parts of the World for good conversations. Excellent value and outstanding eatery ! 😍

Enjoyed the experience. Food is correct but the building is worth a visit. Good beer selection. Interesting to know that you must sit at the table make you choice and remember your table number, then go to the «desk» to place your order. You will get your drinks and go back to your table; food will be served by a waiter.
