Delicious food, lovely location & EXCELLENT customer service! We felt that the whole team at the Stag constantly looked after us & our guests and we honestly couldn’t ask for more. I think we’ve found our new favourite roast and a great midway point to meet family! Quite a last minute impromptu phone call and we were squeezed in for a Sunday Roast. Our greeting was warm and friendly and this continued with the service throughout. The food was sublime, definitely the best roast we’ve had in a long time. Just trying to find another weekend when everyone’s off work to meet in the middle again!
Have been here twice now and each time has been a delight. The staff are extremely nice, friendly and efficient. The food was served hot and was very tasty and filling. This is one of the best pubs I have been to and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!
Best Sunday roast! I came a couple weeks ago and I’m back again today on Boxing Day. The atmosphere is great, staff are welcoming. It’s cozy here.. honestly love it. I also want to mention that I a vegetarian and the roast at this pub was absolutely delicious! 10 out of 10!!
We enjoyed our food here throughly. The Sunday roast was spectacular, and the staff catered perfectly to a delightful evening. The staff are friendly, a warm log fire burning in the background. What more could you ask for ?
Nice pub and good in the summer and it’s local but I went for a afternoon drink at 5pm on a Saturday and every single table inside had a reserved sign on I had to sit outside in the smoking area in the cold I was there for a hour but not a single person sat at the reserved tables what the point of going to a pub with no available tables you can have a drink at inside

Had the most wonderful Sunday roast here. It was a plate full of well cooked food served in a lovely old pub.
Popped in by chance after visiting the Nuclear Bunker. So glad we did. Friendly staff when we arrived. Food was really good. Will definatly be returning.
