The Square Peg has been trading in Lochgilphead, Argyll, for over 35 years! Over that time it has grown from small beginnings into five different departments:
No. 5 - where we sell fine jewellery, pottery, glass, beauty products, hats, wood turnings, scarves and more unique gifts.
The Sandwich Bar - our popular take-away, where we produce home-baking, hot & cold rolls and snacks, and serve organic and Rainforest Alliance approved Tikki coffee.
No. 11 - Toys, Gifts and Cards -we have a great selection of wooden toys - traditional as well as modern - lovely plush animals from Steiff, ty UK, Jellycat and Charlie Bears, books, puzzles, games, etc. here we also have more fun and quirky stock - hand-crafted art tiles, Yankee and Colony candles, design-led mugs and ceramics,and fabulous brands and design-led goods from the likes of Kikkerland, Sass and Belle, Wrendale, Shruti, Thomas Joseph and Happy Jackson. We have a fabulous range of greetings cards, wrap and party products from some wonderful companies.
The Saturday Shop - only open on Saturdays, here you will find lots of bargains - goods that are slightly damaged or end-of-line products that we have removed from the main shops to make way for new products.
We carry many unique gifts from a great variety of suppliers. We have beautiful wood-turned products from 'just up the glen', to some of the very best design-led products from the UK's premium suppliers.

The Sandwich bar opens it's door at 8am. The shops open between 9 and 9.30 am (it is Argyll, after all). the Saturday Shop is open from 10 - 4 on Saturdays.
We are not open on Sundays (it is Argyll, after all). BUT you can order goods from our site any time you like!
