Dropped by here on a very hot Saturday afternoon to escape the heat. Very quiet inside, I guess because some of its near neighbours have a few outside tables, but I was happy to enjoy the air conditioning! A very attractive space with a large central bar. Huge, very impressive drinks selection and the staff were very friendly. I didn’t eat on this occasion but I overheard others saying that the food was very good. Slightly tucked out of the way but worth a visit if you’re in the Farringdon area.
Recently changed hands, so finding its feet, but this is a good reliable boozer with great space for socialising, partying, listening to music, comedy and more. We visited for lunch on av Sunday and they had friendly staff, amazing bloody Marys and stonking tunes. The place also was quiet. Highly recommended!
Visited on a Saturday night. Very lively, DJ upstairs playing popular music. Quality pints, average London prices. Good vibes and felt safe. Live music room downstairs was a different world in comparison. Dark, quiet and cosy. Overall, nice pub.
We used the basement for leaving drinks, with around 60 people. It was perfect, and great to have our own bar and area. Spaces like that are hard to come by, but it worked perfectly! Would recommend
For a mid-week trip it was absolutely heaving, usually a good sign but we weren't particularly impressed. We had a bit of trouble getting the table we'd booked in advance and the food was nice but not 5*. Pretty good selection of IPAs etc. but a shame to have come out with friends and colleagues and not be able to hear someone sitting next to you because the music was so loud.
Great pub, but the loudness of the music is unbearable. Could not hear any conversation with friends so you end up sat there looking at each other giving up talking/screaming. Music is fine 8-9 after a few drinks but initially way too much.
This place used to be so good one of my preferred pubs in London…what happened?!? it’s tragic now, if I wanted this vibe I’d go to Yates! Avoid if you’re looking for a decent pint or vibe
Went for lunch with a client and have to say that we were not impressed at paying £44 for a steak and chips, two small chicken wraps plus chips and two drinks. If the portion were adequate then it might be justified. The food tasted wonderful plus the chips were heavenly but the portions were miserly. The pub itself is nice and comfortable but I will be going to Waitrose/Tesco/Pret next time.
Great, intimate live venue, friendly, welcoming staff,, professional, helpful, doir and sound staff, good decor and layout.. Loved it...
Nice range of beers, could offer more cider options. Friendly staff and table service. The fish finger sandwich was great for £6.50 but had to order two of them because the portion size is tiny. The Mayo never turned up, but ketchup was probably the right sauce for the sandwich. Nice atmosphere. Been here a couple of time’s nice pub.
