Lovely independent cinema with a great cafe and bar. A fantastic place to meet friends, just opposite Sheffield railway station and not too far from the bus station either, so super convenient for arrival by public transport.
The Showroom Cinema, now in its 30th year, is the best cinema in Sheffield and the North of England. This picture house has given me so many memorable and profound cultural experiences over the decades. Here's to the next 30 years!
While the venue is a little run down and rough around the edges, it's a wonderfully welcoming environment, serves great food, and a lovely range of snacks.
Lovely independent cinema in the heart of Sheffield. The staff are friendly and the range of films is huge. It is also really affordable, with tickets at just £5 for all under 26. There is also a monthly film quiz in the Showroom cafe, where there is a nice food menu and lots of drink options available.
Been here a few times for films, alot more comfortable than large chains! And their cafe/bar is great too, some good cocktails with all day deals!
Not your average cinema - best of the mainstream films plus special interest films & special screenings. £5 for U26. Trendy bar/cafe good for before/after. Disabled parking right outside & has accessible toilet & comfy positions for wheelchair spaces in auditoriums.
Such a great selection of films shown here - real mixture of blockbusters and independent cinema from around the world. The cafe/bar area is great too. An important cultural point in Sheffield through it's work in the yearly Documentary Film Festival, supporting filmmakers in their development and hosting bespoke screenings. Support it!!

Very friendly film-related complex with an adjacent cinema Showroom and workshop/meeting areas. Good space with excellent facilities and friendly staff. Attended an awards evening recently and found it to be excellent. Very close to a central car park. Highly recommended.
This is probably the world's greatest cinema. I've lived all over Europe and never encountered a better one. If you live near this place you're lucky. They put on excellent films. Absolute gem, love it.
