We visited The Shoulder of Mutton in May 2023. The pub is huge, combining the old buildings of the historic pub with modern extensions. Inside the pub is open, with a wonderful bar well-lit by a skylight and small, more secluded seating areas to the side. At the rear is a huge beer garden, decorated beautifully with planters and flower boxes.nnCheck out our website or visit our socials @wethowanderers to read our full review of the pub!
Went for breakfast, ordered large English, came out cold, sent it back and was supposed to have been a fresh one, barely warm, eggs inedible as they were hard and looked like they had been sat there for hours. I know weather spoons is cheap and cheerful and I have had good breakfasts in a few, but the majority of times the breakfasts have always been sent back as cold, this is not just Ashby, Leicester cornexchange is the same.
Lovely place with really good prices. Quick service, easy order via the app. And really tasty food.
Very nice wetherspoon, really love place to sit especially nest the big windows at the front.nFood arrived very hot and it was extremely tasty!nStaff were very polite and they asked how our food was and cleared our table up.nLadies toilets were very clean!nnCoffee machine was easy to use.nReally enjoyed it, my favourite meals at a wetherspoons in a long time.
Haven't been here for quite a few years. An upmarket Spoons with a spacious beer garden and a smart interior.nI had the veggie breakfast with extra hash browns replacing the missing quorn sausages. The breakfast was okay, although I should have had extra beans instead.nFriendly service.nParking at the rear is free for one hour, however, get a ticket.
