The atmosphere is lively but not overwhelming, making it the perfect balance for a casual meal or a long, leisurely drink.nnI had the filthy fries paired with a beautifully cooked rump steak, and it was absolutely divine. The menu had a solid variety of traditional pub classics and some intriguing specials, and it was hard to choose!nnThe service was exceptional as well. The staff were friendly making sure everything was to our liking. I love this pub ! Visited with my partner and our little puppy on a Saturday and ended up being there again on the Sunday as it was so nice. Dog friendly pub and staff made a real fuss of ‘Lil’ our puppy. Good selection of drinks food is absolutely great but what made it for us is the warmest welcome from all the staff they made us feel like part of the family.nSunday roast was fantastic nThank you to all the staff but especially Jo and Imogen we had a great time can’t wait to come back x
The biggest thank you goes out to the wonderful staff at The Ship Inn! We held a wake at the pub almost a month ago after my father-in-law’s funeral. What a gem of a pub! The staff were amazing and so attentive, the food was homemade and plentiful, the space for our party was perfect. An incredibly sad day turned into a lovely celebration! Highly recommend! Thank you!!
Absolutely wonderful place and you must visit if in the area. From the moment we entered the pub the staff were all friendly and attentive making us feel very welcome. The service was impeccable and the food delicious. Portion sizes were good and we just managed to squeeze in a fabulous cherry crumble and ice cream but only cause we shared it forgot to take a photo but looked lovely. Lovely and clean throughout and toilets immaculate. Would recommend and we would visit again. If you haven’t visited it is a must have.
A gorgeous traditional pub with an interesting history and delicious food. We visited for dinner with our dog who all the staff fussed over. Lovely staff, great atmosphere, cold pints and lovely pub grub!
