Very dark and dingy in the Saxon Shore. Pub is ground floor but has a couple of steps to a lowered level. Staff were helpful and quickly cleared a table for us. Had a Stella & Merlot for around £8 which is about right. Some outside seating available at the front of the building. Didn't stay long as the atmosphere & clientele were questionable.
6 of us ....We went for a walk along the seafront today and came across this 'Spoons' never felt treated better! The staff were so obliging - really couldn't do enough for us. The food was good, the prices amazing and the atmosphere congenial to the time of year. All in all a great experience! We've spent more and definitely got less at other bars!
First visit and had a disabled young lady and a new baby with us.nThe layout was perfect for our needs and courteous staff.nWe didn't wait long for our food which was hot and exactly what we ordered
This pub has some great deals on food and drinks. Food portions are not that large but you can get a reasonable meal from around £5.50 including a soft drink.nIt's quite a large pub with plenty of seating including an outside area.nIt has air conditioning which is nice on a hot daynnIt's cheap so it's busy most of the time,if you want a peaceful drink this is not the place for you.nThey have plenty of staff so you won't wait too long to be served and despite them being busy my food order arrived within 15 minutes.
Not a bad spoons, about what you'd expect. Had a couple of nice meals here, very good fish and chips which was quite a surprise. Not the best spoons Ultimate Burger I've had in my life, but still pretty good.
