Enjoyed lunch here after a walk along the beach and pier. Easy to order via the app. Quick service of drinks. Short wait for food. 3 meals - a curry, a burger and a pizza. Plus some nachos! All freshly cooked. Particularly like coming here as service has always been good. Plus good value meals.
Maybe because it was early afternoon, food was bad, the fish and the chips were full of oil, like they had been cooked twice. We usually go JD Witherspoon everywhere we go, and believe me, we do go cities and places, but this one was by far with the worst food.nUpdate- We do like Herne Bay, so we thought let's give another chance to this pub, and as I was expecting totally different, food was fresh, service took a bit longer than usual with Wetherspoon, but it was much busier. So yes, well done for improvement.
**Fun exchange with Mikey, Shift Leader at the bar, today. Great attitude, great service n*Only ever visit The Spoons for a pint or two with a friend at lunchtime to enjoy a beer and a chat. Staff always most pleasant. Tracey, super friendly and helpful, too. Great venue for a social meet up!
6 of us ....We went for a walk along the seafront today and came across this 'Spoons' never felt treated better! The staff were so obliging - really couldn't do enough for us. The food was good, the prices amazing and the atmosphere congenial to the time of year. All in all a great experience! We've spent more and definitely got less at other bars!
Lovely fish and chips. A nice atmosphere but was quite full even with the amount of seats
