Delicious homemade pub food. Great selection on the menu. I had the Tomapork with a cider & apple sauce, mash and vegetables.nBy far the tastiest pub meal I’ve had in a long time and prices reasonable. Good portion sizes too! Meal was £19.50 and we stayed for a few drinks. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back again.nLovely atmosphere and friendly staff too.
We actually ate here twice in four days. On my first visit I had the steak and ale pie. The meat was very lean and tender,the pastry was excellent too. The gravy had a lovely smooth beefy feel about it which made everything work. The mash and the veg complimented it,I was in heaven. Thankyou guys.nLoved it so much on Thursday came back for Sunday lunch aswell. I had beef with two Yorkshire,cauliflower cheese and other veg. The gravy was again first class but the homemade horseradish was fantastic.nKeep it going guys your food is 1st class
The food, drink, staff and atmosphere were all really good. The Steak Diane sauce was delicious.
Really welcoming friendly local that serves really top notch pub grub the best sort of food!. Change menu twice a year so not just stuck with the same. Prices have increased as expected as everything has gone up.
Nice pub, friendly staff and lovely food.nnWe've been here a few time now and it's been excellent every time.nnThe food has always been well presented and really tasty.nnWe've had the BLT sandwiches a couple of times and they've been excellent. On our most recent visit, I had the Ship burger, which was excellent, and my wife had the toasted club sandwich, which she really enjoyed - having a fried egg in it was unusual, but she said that it really worked!
