The mirror in the women's bathroom is a two-way mirror that allows the men to look in unbeknownst to the women. There is NO mention of this mirror in the women's restroom. It's kept secret from us so that the men can "peek in" on us without our knowledge or consent. This place is the absolute worst. Would give 0 stars, if possible. Vile place.
Completely packed, no space to move and hotter than a sauna. Half of the bar staff was chatting while customers had to wait for a minimum of 10 minutes to order a drink. The only positive was the security which was friendly and chatty
So small really need to put a limit because there’s is no room to even move. Clearly water down their drinks had 8 vodka mixer doubles and wasn’t tipsy, so expensive too. Toilets are so disgusting too.
Hey perverts- how's the 2 way glass for perving on young women working out for you in the toilets? Do the customers know that you accept money from perverts so they can look at unsuspecting women without their consent in the bathroom?
I have been going to shimmy for 2 years now, not because I enjoy this clubs experience but purely due to a sponsorship deal we have as part of Strathclyde hockey club. We have had good nights here and have provided shimmy with endless support but when it came down to our hockey club having a large social event for us rather than shimmy taking money from our pockets we were completely let down by shimmy. Many of our members were rejected entry purely by the t-shirts we were wearing. Shimmy has completely disregarded the fact that we were the first sports club and the most loyal sports club to shimmy. We are the largest social club in Strathclyde and we will be discussing taking our custom to a different venue.
Had a terrible night. The name "Common" speaks for itself. Claimed free entry before 12:30 on website, got there and they said it was free entry before 11. It took 20 minutes to get served and only got served until I mentioned to the bar staff that I had been waiting. Then got short changed by £3. Complained to the 'manager' who disregarded us and put us on a guest list for next time. No thanks. Clearly in breach of maximum capacity.
Bouncers are unprofessional, uncaring and just terrible people in general. The owners/managers have to be just as bad by letting these people continue to work there after so many incidents.
was shocked at how aggressive and rude the young bouncer who looked so unprofessional and too young to be part of security employment was on tonight .. sounded and looked good from the outside so went in and my last friend who is actually a full year older than me was refused entry for no reason after offering a second form of ID and swore at her.. will not even attempt to go back what a waste of time.
It smells bad and sometimes theres massive queues. The ceilings are low and trap all the stagnant farts. : But it's still fun
well a was in here on sunday and my mobile phone got stolen and plus £25 pound they have phoned me back to let me know what they are going to do about it am very disappointed shocking a losted all ma mums bday photos and everything and plus all contacts to friends and family and still havent herd anything back dont think a will be going here if this is what urs do
