Shady oak is a lovely little pub, the beer garden overlooks the Shropshire Union Canal and Beeston Castle. The meal was a deli box, it was very good and well presented. There was social distancing and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Good pub, nice beer, friendly staff, and the £5 'boris burger' is decent for the money.
Visited here after heading to Beeston Castle, short drive between the two. Internally very nice, taking social distancing seriously. Lovely canal side location. Pity it was raining. Would love to come back on a sunnier day and have a drink looking over the canal. Food was pretty good, good choice of beers

It's better than than the exterior would suggest. Pleasant staff, an interesting menu, great beers and good food. There's also a small childrens play area and a lovely beer garden overlooking the canal. It would have got five stars, but the plaice tasted remarkably like fish flavoured cardboard!
