The landlord was definitely born to be behind a bar- the customer service was excellent and he was so friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble- the food was awesome, with generous portions and gluten free options were available. Lovely coal fire, very friendly atmosphere and nice choice of beers. We'll definitely be back and plan to stay at the campsite
A fantastic pub that caters for all. 6 adults and 5 dogs all booked in for New Year's Day lunch. Food and chat was first class. Ideally located for several camp/touring sites. Will definitely visit again if in the area.
Lovely experience. My husband and I visited on a Tuesday looking forward to a meal only to find they don't cook on a Tuesday! The landlord then said his wife would cook for us, how lovely was that. Thank you so much, will be back
We booked in for a meal as we always have a pub lunch after remembrance sunday service, we haven't eaten here for a few years and thought we would go back, the food was absolutely fantastic and I must say very reasonable prices for the quality. I like the atmosphere here its layed back and feels comfortable. The icing on the cake was when it came time to pay our bill I was informed that the owner had removed my meal from the bill as I was a British army veteran. I was so surprised . If the owner reads this review please can I say thank you for your generous appreciation.
Stayed on the site at the back of the pub before. Very good spot for walking to the garden center and farm shop. The food in the pub is very good and great value for money. The staff was very friendly and happy to help. Nearby activities: Garden Centre, farm shop and reclamation yard Walkability: Easy to walk to near by shops Food & drinks: Food very good and great value for the money.
Excellent pub serving great food and of particular note is the Sunday roast followed by the ice cream burger …. Brioche bun, honeycomb ice cream, bischoff crumb, caramel sauce. Superb!! Ab Fab
