Had a meal here last night and the menu is everything I'd want to see from a modern pub. Excited to see pizzas and tapas bits, something different for a bite to eat when you're in Dartmouth! Lovely staff and cosy atmosphere. Great pub experience.

Popped in to escape the rain today no acknowledgement from bar person who then proceeded to serve someone else who rocked up after us. Atmosphere akin to the surface of the moon. Try the Cherub or Dartmouth Arms IMO.

Went for a meal last Saturday and were looked after very well . Food was good but let down by the fact that the “mushy” peas were not proper marrow fat pea’s but in fact the same garden peas my wife had that had been mashed.Service: 5/5
Love a trip to Dartmouth and it wouldn't be right without a visit to this,atmospheric pub! Good choice of beers, ciders and spirits not the haunting kind...though the pub is old and usually a nice friendly crowd in too!!
The best steak I have had for a long time. Great atmosphere, beautiful location, wonderful beer, amazing food. All the cogs lined up on this one. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Really child friendly and great locals. Highly recommend this place for not only great food but a lovely all-round experience.
Lovely place, staff friendly and mostly helpful. Clean room, little loud as although says rooms on 2nd floor, there is a dining area on the first. However, this wasn't too bad. Only negative occured pre-booking. Spoke with staff on phone re parking and was advised there was plenty of places to park as many restrictions are May-Sept only. Turns out this was untrue as essentially only one area with unrestricted parking and everywhere else just 1 to 2 hours. We wasted nearly an hour of our break messing around looking for parking. Had the staff member not lied to us then we wouldn't have come and wasted valuable time. Although every other aspect of venue was great this would leave us wary to visit this venue or others in the group again.
