"The Kings Arms is our pub, owned and run by the local community here in Strete. It is one of the first community owned pubs in the South West. And because it's owned by the people from the village, we'd like to think it offers a warmer welcome. A bit more of the real local flavour. A better connection with life in these wonderful parts. All with car parking, a large garden and a kids playing area.And then there's the view. Sometimes we just sit there, drink in hand, and look out over those fields to the sea beyond and thank our lucky stars this is where we live."

Is been our fourth visit over the last month or so and each time it just keeps getting better..We had a family dinner for 16 people and everyone got what they ordered and were more than happy… then I’ve eaten Sunday lunch twice with just me and my partner.. not sure how they do it so well for very little money but it’s everything Sunday lunch should be well cooked, hot and plenty of fresh vegetables and crispy roast potatoes..and as an added bonus views across The River Dart and hills

Fantastic food, the most friendly, helpful team and a wonderful homely, relaxed atmosphere. It’s in such a lovely spot too. Well done to the community for pulling together to bring this historic hostelry back to life. A must place to eat and drink. We absolutely love it!
The most delicious roast I’ve had for years. Mine was the nut roast amazing and partners the beef. The gravy was the best!! They’re very kind and accommodating here. We will certainly be back. Thank you xx
Perfect stop off for a glass of wine or beer. Parking is across the road but it's also just off the coastal path. Lovely views.

Fantastic community pub with great food, drinks and service. Well worth a visit if visiting Blackpool or Slapton Sands. Garden and playground with fantastic views over the bay. Booking recommended as it gets very busy.
Little gem of a community run pub. We went for Sunday roast, it was absolutely delicious Home made roasties, yorkies, fresh veg, and the beef cooked to perfection. The view was spectacular, lovely little play area. Would certainly recommend 5*
Fantastic Sunday lunch. Not everyone realises that this pub is funded by the Community and any surplus goes back into Community investment. Nevertheless it is a professionally run pub with one of the best views in South Devon. Give it a try and support the local Community at the same time.
