Their prices haven't changed much since 2004 when I first visited this cafe, they were pretty much the same as that long ago and it's quite reasonable for what you get. It's a very simple menu with British staple meals, on a day out to a seaside town you want that simplicity so that is a positive. They don't skimp on portions, the meals are large and there are healthy options as well. The seating is very comfortable with the same sort of benches as on the Mersey ferry. The only caveat is that the place is very often full at the weekend or bank holidays when every attraction is open, even when it's cold. My girlfriend ate her whole meal and she is very fussy about food, so well done guys.

Came for a late lunch. Both meals were lovely and the price is unbelievable. Very good value for money. The inside is clean and tidy and service was warm and welcoming. I think we will visit quite regularly.

Nicest Sunday Roast I've had in a long time! Toby Carvery, come and see what a proper Sunday lunch should be like! Generous serving of meat and all the meal piping hot. We'll be back!

A proper no nonsense cafe seaside doesn't pretend to be something it's not. Very interesting decor and good photos of New Brighton over the years Nothing fancy but good food with slightly "healthy" options. Very nice staff and clean toilets.

Traditional seaside cafe with good views of the river and fort. Friendly, helpful staff going out of their way to ensure a good experience. Good, well cooked food with decent portion sizes at a reasonable price. The wooden seating is taken from old Mersey Ferries.
