my first visit. . . we went off the deal menu that was on the tables (think it was starter and main for x amount or main dessert for x amount or all 3 for what ever price) we ordered one starter to share and two mains. the member of staff serving asked if we wanted the nachos being brought out with the mains. we said yes to this. it didn't happen, they just brought out the nachos and then the main after we had finished the nachos. Then waited for the banana dessert. we waited for about 15 or 20 minutes before bringing it to their attention . the place was empty apart from about 3 other small parties.the staff also looked like they did their best to avoid any eye contact when walking past. The food was nice. there was a reduction on the bill cause of the wait for dessert. The toilets were disgusting . there wasn't a clean one to use . . understanding this is probably due to customers,but there were enough staff for the toilets to be checked and cleaned. . . not been sure if want to return again due to the state of toilets

This was our first visit to Chimichanga in New Brighton, in fact, it was our first experience of any restaurant in this chain. The service was friendly, efficient and welcoming without being overbearing. The food arrived quickly but not rushed and was thoroughly enjoyable. Prices weren’t cheap and perhaps a little above what I’d expect for this type of restaurant but I can see us returning.

Six months ago this would have been a 5 star review but there has been a change starting with the menu which i think was a mistake. Some of the regular staff seem to have left and although the new staff are helpful and trying it appears they need more support. The new menu is a negative point for me personally and in line with previous reviews the quality of the food coming from the kitchen has declined. I like this place and will visit again in the hope the management recognise that the changes have not gone down very well but won't keep being disappointed.
