Story

The Scotch of St James is a nightclub, live music and private event space which first opened its doors on the 14th of July 1965. Renowned as the preferred playground for just about every major music personality of the swinging 60's the club famously played host to a then unknown Jimi Hendrix's first impromptu gig on arrival in England in 1966.

More than twenty years after it last opened its doors, The Scotch was restored in January of 2012 and re-launched in March of 2014 after an eight month partnership with Le Baron in 2013. The current Scotch team is dedicated to building on its illustrious heritage as a culturally significant meeting point, aiming to host the city's most relevant and exciting events and personalities in music, fashion, film and the arts.

Tim on the doors nice guy. Arranged our table for us. Real nice humble guy. Thanks for a great night, last night
Really cool vibe. Felt like a speakeasy. Small venue so don't expect to really sit down much. Can get really full.
they were really homophobic. we were there on pride and they didn’t let my male friend in because his shorts were too short. honestly, if you’re looking for an exclusive place that operates on the basis on institutionalized homophobia, great place for you. otherwise, find someone more up to today’s standards
Terrible customer service at the door by Naomi. Too busy trying to force £20 entry charge per person! Bartenders do free pouring instead of using jiggers to measure alcohol shots. Pouring singles and charging you for doubles! This could be a great place for a night out but the people running it are dodgy as F...!
The staff was rude and unprofessional. They quided us to another club which was only for members and therefore caused us lots of unwanted costs.
A great place for a night out in central London. Good vibe, music and clientele - however, as with other clubs in the area it is pricey to enter, especially for larger groups that must buy tables.
