Is been one of the best mini break’s we had. Beautiful places and a lovely location.The hotel looks lovely inside with historic features, the room was very cozy with lovely panoramic views and the staff were very welcoming.The breakfast was delicious even the vegetarian one.The down point will be that they stopped serving dinner after 5pm and quite hard to find a local restaurant for dinner. Overall was a lovely mini holiday. Highly recommended!
Great location but not well cared for. The staff were doing their best to keep things going while the management were in the middle of a marital split, so they were running short if drinks at the bar and most of the menu wasn't available. Still waiting for a refund for a night I cancelled 2 months before. I have emailed and rang several times with no response. Even Robinson's Brewery weren't interested...Shocking place
Went middle of August in fab weather and got a seat outside. Dog friendly in the beer garden where we had food, great menu choice and reasonably priced. Lovely and friendly pub in a great location
Didn't feel welcome when we walked in, rude staff. Nice place that should be thriving. Think the lack of guests indoors and out compared to others says it all. On a plus note, the beer and food were good.Service: 3/5
Visited last night for opening night with the new owners. Fantastic night, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Small incident where first aid was needed but was dealt with professionally and promptly. Nice to see it open again and buzzing as on a previous visit it was closed.
Opening day yesterday, went for a quick pint. So pleased to see the place busy and buzzing. The new manageress Nik and Chris give a new confidence to the business and will bring the Saracens back to being the place it was years ago. Can't wait to see a menu and to have a meal there. Good food and nothing pretentious should seal it. Welcome back Saracens Head.
Do not book. I drove 6 hours to get to Snowdonia, only to find out upon arrival that the place shut down and noone is there. The owners should have decency to let people know and not take in more bookings.Rooms: 1/5
We dined at the Saracens Head twice during our week in Beddgelert. Extremely friendly staff, made a fuss of our two dogs. Food was lovely and plentiful. Would definitely recommend this place. Also a dog friendly hotel.
Booked for 27th Dec 2022. Arrived to find the hotel and pub closed. A local person confirmed the pub and hotel have been closed for several weeks. The owners have basically taken peoples money, shut down the hotel and pub and ran off with everyones payments.Rooms: 1/5
Tried to book a table but told they were only serving hotel guests. Large dining room going to waste. Totally rude staff member, not even an apology. Wouldn't bank on eating there unless you fork out for a room.Service: 1/5
