Popped into Saracens today. A really, lovely place. The saff were very attentive and welcoming. The food was outstanding. 4 different meals ordered but all came out at the same time. Pipping hot. Beautiful place.

It was our first experience with English pub culture we're from Germany and spending our holiday in Highworth. We were absolutely thrilled. The atmosphere, the garden, the food, the friendly staff – simply superb. We'll be back.

I booked 3 nights here. Staff were nice, pub busy so obviously food nice.nThe room I had was awful.  Carpet was filthy, bath was dirty, everything needed a deep clean, even down to the kettle. I left after one night! I know it's only 2 star but that doesn't mean it can't be clean.

Another amazing meal at Saracens Head.nnStaff are incredibly friendly and helpful and food is second to none!nnQuality food at a very reasonable price!

IF YOU’RE BOOKING THROUGH TRIVAGO/ AGODA BEWARE. Tried to book for a Saracens head in Great Dunmow, Essex through Agoda.. unknowingly the link takes you to this hotel on the payment page about 4 hours away than where we needed to be. Tried again & it does it on all the other sites as well, late rooms etc…Called them immediately after but the manager refused to cancel the booking as it was booked through Agoda and apparently they couldn’t cancel it or mark the room as now unavailable. Can’t speak to anyone at Agoda, easy money. This booking was made 4 days before the room was needed, so there was plenty of time to cancel it as they were well aware of what had happened.
