Food and service has not improved, despite recent poor rating by FSA. Despite being fairly quiet, we were told we had to wait for 30 minutes before I could place my food order. Nearly 40 minutes later my order was taken. Then a 35 minute wait for food to arrive. Chips had been cooked in heavily used fat, and were distinctly unpleasant. The fish was not completely cooked. When bringing this to the attention of the duty manager, he just said "oh", and shrugged his shoulders. No apology. My second bad experience here. I will not be visiting again.

Went for dinner on Saturday evening. Booking is recommended. Good food and service. Polite and friendly service. Prices were very reasonable.

I regret to say that I will not be recommending this place. Food is not to an adequate standard and often comes out incredibly dry. I was impressed with the politeness of the bar/waitresses however, little can be said for the pubs manager. It is a shame as the other Arkell's pubs are very nice but I will not be returning to the Saracens anytime soon.

Lovely atmosphere, good prices and good selection. Only gripe is we wanted food but we're told it was too busy despite a number of empty tables.

Local pub, quirky decor, ok beer garden, caters for all. Nice food
