Typical spoons, however this is inside a modern building on the edge of an industrial estate. Toilet is down stairs and huge . Lots of seats, however a bit slow to clear tables. Recommend using the spoons app here, to order, as the bar always seems busy. Had the bacon and brie Christmas menu burger. Was ok but nothing special. With a soft drink it was £9.05, so not bad value, as always could have done with more chips! Quick service though. Visited on a Wednesday evening and it was busy.
Very good spot to have dinner, particularly if, like me, you're on a work trip and on your own: the app means you can order everything from your table without worrying about whether someone will take said table whilst you're ordering at the bar... The food is good and the service speedy. It's a really easy option if you're staying at the Hilton hotel next door and, as such, I'd happily head back next time I'm there...
Had a large breakfast, without mushrooms and a coffee. Came pretty quickly, one of the bits of toast was burnt on one side hence the 4 stars but overall it was pretty decent. Probably worth asking for an extra butter, but that's due more to the size of the toast than the shortage of butter
Nice modern design for a spoons. Spacious and clean. 45 min wait for food. But was worth the wait. Nice vibe during the day.
Very slow service, waited 45 minutes for our drinks to arrive after placing our order. Food was a little longer, arriving cold... Not the burger as described in their menu. Very pleasant hard working staff... Looking very busy and stressed out. Maybe if they had more staff then the place could be running more smoothly. I for one shall not be visiting again too soon.
Frankly this pub is one to avoid. I have given up visiting it because the food is terrible and the atmosphere at times is very unpleasant. I have waited 40 minutes for a meal which was cold and I had to return as inedible. I will no longer take my wife to a place where the bad language and horse play can be really embarrassing and staff walk by ingoring such behavior. If you go on a bad day the bar staff can even look right through you and serve people who came in long after you started waiting.
Absolute joke of a place, wife 25 years old refused a glass of wine for not looking 18! Staff wouldn’t allow a picture of ID so took drink away. No intentions of replacing it after 15 minutes until going up and asking for a replacement. Then the cheek of it asking to join the back of a queue! When we’ve already paid for a drink and had it taken away! Rude manager on shift told the wife to go sit down after finally agreeing to sort her drink out only a coke not that difficult to do!
I visited today and it was not a good experience. Tables not cleared even though we asked. On the bar ordered one thing but was charged more . Asked to change the order and waiter forgot to add Naan bread to my order. At the table noticed that naan bread missing and asked to bring me one . Manager came and started to argue. What a disgrace ! Huge chain pub is arguing with customer other the naan bread which should've been given me for the inconveniences at first place. Rice tasted like microwaved one.
Typical Wetherspoons. Draught beer is always cold and food is consistent. Always clean. My only complaint is there is only ever a single person serving at the bar. On a couple of occasions I've left the queue, sat down and ordered on the app as it's quicker than queueing which is probably the point?.
Lovely pub. Friendly service but very often short-staffed which on busy days causes piles of crockery to get stacked up on empty tables. This leads to people who turn up looking for a table to walk out. Shame really as it is a nice place.
