We came for an anniversary of a passed away family member from Cookstown. The room was pleasant and sufficient. The food was lovely im a chef qualified. It satisfied our needs. What I felt was bizarre. At 10pm all the hotel staff disappeared. A wonderful lady Ann took care of our needs. As a man within the publican trade. Having several pubs in the past I found this strange
Genuinely better than many 4 or 5 stars I’ve stayed in. Impeccable and so friendly service. Well appointed room with big bed, nice shower and plenty of tea coffee and biscuits although i didn’t take any, it’s the thought that counts and pretty well soundproofed. Good bar with nice selection; decent food in the restaurant and plenty of parking. Breakfast was great too - even on Monday! Would love to return.
There were 9 of us out for a meal last Saturday evening. Every thing was beautiful. Just one small thing 3 of us ordered the Black Forest it was nice but not a Black Forest it was just a chocolate cake. Unfortunately it is very hard to get a good Black Forest in Northern Ireland they all seem to do it with chocolate cake, I love a good dark moist Black Forest layered with fresh cream and cherries. Would have been 5/5 as black forest was not 100%
This was an unplanned stay as booked on the same day. What a lovely hotel! We were made to feel very welcome. The rooms were generous and immaculately clean. Unfortunately, the kitchen was closed on the following morning, but the staff laid on a very nice continental breakfast, which set us up for the day. All in all, it was a very enjoyable stay and would visit again if passing through.
Was up for the Sunday carvery. The food was excellent, the tables and seating were tastefully decorated and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our first experience for the Sunday carvery and veto was not disappointed. Would highly recommend the Royal Hotel for its excellent food and friendly staff. Such a great variety of everything too. Thank you one and all. We will certainly be back.
