This place is heaven on earth! An old coaching inn, beautifully kept in keeping with its origins and beautifully maintained beer gardens on the banks of the river Avon . It is at the heart of a small town with the most beautiful minster, which is worth a visit.nnThe rooms are clean and comfortable, the food is good and hot, and the beer is reasonably priced. The staff are lovely and accommodating, and I couldn't praise the place highly enough.nnThe picture is sunset from the beer garden!!
Yet another wetherspoons set up in a much older hotel, it still has rooms available.nA lot of seating is available across the ground floor area, there is a large beer garden to the rear of the building, overlooking the river seven at the back. All the usual food and drinks are available.
Lovely place with an outside setting and eating area. Only issue we were told we could order food on the app however there is no signal. 4 of us using 3 different internet companies no one could get the signal
Stopped here for food on our journey home. I received a parking fine for using the car park. I purchased a ticket from the machine, but it turns out the car park is divided in two. Half is the pub's and the other half the Council's. I didn't realise this and purchased a ticket for the council side, but parked in the pub side. We aren't local so won't be back. The food was average, but the service was good.
I spent a very pleasant couple of hours here on a cold June evening ! after a concert at the nearby Tewkesbury Abbey. Very friendly staff and good unfussy food. The locals seemed a friendly bunch too. Very enjoyable.
