We had a day trip from Weston super Mare to Tewkesbury emporium, I’m after a little bit of ret therapy we found the black bear pub, he had grave reviews and we can see why! They had a great screen to watch the euro cup outside and the food look amazing, we had a couple of drinks   to read the 13 century history behind the pub and it is haunted! We are definitely coming back for a full meal next time

Great bar all around. Awesome garden bar. Plenty of character, good selection of beers, really good food and great service. One of the best I’ve visited and I’ve visited many!

Great atmosphere & service, and new lawns looking good. Food from Smoky Grill was fab, plenty of beef and so tender. I’d prefer the flatbread on the side next time cos the slaw juice made it soggy.nNice clean toilets although the pub was so busy on Saturday afternoon.

This is a fantastic pub, a huge beer garden, lovely big seating areas inside, so light and airy. From the outside I expected old and gloomy - definitely an unexpected treat inside. It was Thai night, the food was outstanding. Lovely clean loos, dog friendly, Guinness on tap - and a homemade gin punch. Very happy to recommend

Well they have certainly made a Fantastic job of the black bear. It feels it’s a lot different it has a lot more atmosphere and some really beautiful areas.nnDuring the summer, I can see this is going to get really really busy.nnDo not judge the smoky grill on the prices,  you soon change your mind when you have something. We had the cheeseburger with fries and trust me it was beautiful so give it a try as this place will not disappoint .
