I’ve been a member at this gym for over 10 years — not out of loyalty, but out of convenience. And sadly, that convenience has run out.nnWhat used to be a supportive training environment has become a space marked by poor leadership, inconsistent policies, and a complete lack of respect for female members. The current male manager is dismissive, defensive, and unprofessional — especially when concerns are raised. Raise an issue calmly and directly? You’re met with the same cold, robotic “I understand” — without an ounce of empathy or accountability.nnTo top it off, another Middle Aged white male gym-goer felt entitled to interject and intimidate me while I was voicing my concern — a completely inappropriate and unprovoked display that the management did nothing to address.nnThere’s no accountability, no transparency, and no commitment to creating a safe, inclusive space for women or people of colour — which should be the bare minimum.nnIf you’re a woman looking for a gym that respects and protects your space, this is not it.nnThis place has lost the plot — and its integrity
Nice enough gym, sadly some of the public members are so rude and pretentious towards the students, some of the students are rude to all public members. Hate how some public members feel they are above the rules, parking their G Wagons and 4x4s on coned off pavements and disabled spots. Will be looking elsewhere
Overall a great gym. The gym and locker rooms are clean and well maintained. I wish there were a few more modern machines as I am not a student I do have to pay a premium that sits alongside the likes of David Llyod so would like some more equipment.
Extremely happy with clean and good quality equipment, range of classes, and instructors. I have used the facility for over ten years. I particularly benefit from Boot camp classes run by Andy and Lyn, and spinning classes of Rosa and Kate, and am particularly pleased with range and variety of exercises as well as attention given by the instructors and their dedication.
A nice relaxed gym environment. Good mix of students and non-students in the evening. Generally a more mature and casual crowd i.e. no camera tripods and filming of workouts going on or powerlifting taking place.nnMy only feedback would be to introduce a two tier membership system for non-students. I do not use the sauna, steam or pool and therefore the £55 per month price is high. If you use the facilities it is perfectly reasonable. Perhaps a £35 for gym only and £55 for the addition of sauna, steam, pool.
