We visited for afternoon tea and it was great. The scones are perfect and square, never seen that before with clotted cream and jam. The sandwiches were good too, but we weren't keen on the jam and cheese one. A little expensive but worth it, everything was fresh and very filling.
Visited with my husband and son it was quite busy, always a good sign. Toasted teacakes were lovely quite fruity and with a decent amount of spice lots of butter too. Hot chocolate with Baileys and cream, wow, this is now my new favourite hot drink. Double espresso was enjoyed by my son he said it was good coffee and he drinks gallons of the stuff. Cakes looked lovely but they will be a reason to visit again.
They have a couple of vegan options which are nice. The coffee is good too. The staff have always been friendly, polite and happy. They're lovely to talk to. Would be nice for a little more vegan variety but its a pleasant cafe all in all. UPDATE: They've decided to drop their vegan options a while ago. Their coffee is still nice and they have one vegan dessert, but apart from that, they're not vegan friendly which is a shame.
Great selection of teas and coffees. The cakes are all homemade and taste great. The staff are all really friendly. The place is dog friendly too which always makes the atmosphere much better.Food: 5/5
Went for coffee and cake today - so lovely and welcoming and the coffee and cakes were delicious. Was turned away by every venue in Rochester as I had a tiny 2kg dog with me - but this place made us very welcome. Will definitely visit again soon! :
I have been to rochester so many times and never been in this place until now and I cannot believe I've missed out all this time. Only had a coffee and cake but was absolutely lovely . Great atmosphere very friendly staff. Will defo be returning soon.Food: 5/5
Very cosy coffee shop. Coffees are really nice, not overly strong and bitter like the main brand coffee shops. It's a bit more relaxed in here too which makes it a lovely experience just to sit and enjoy a break.Food: 5/5
A sweet, cozy coffee shop with a lovely view of the cathedral. Really enjoyed their vanilla chai latte. It's located on Rochester High Street. Walking along the High Street is like taking a short trip back in time. There is comfortable seating, and a good array of cakes and bakes to choose from. I'd definitely recommend coming here for a peaceful cuppa.
Have been visiting for years and always the same wonderful service and cakes!! no disabled access but they do help with prams
Disappointing espresso and cappuccino. Either the barista was new or they use very poor quality beans.
