We had a lovely family meal here celebrating my mum's birthday. Considering it was a Saturday night and there was 6 of us we were served really quickly and the staff seemed really friendly and even though it was busy. The pub itself is set in such beautiful countryside and my 1 year old daughter loved all the Safari animals dotted around
Came here as it was rated so highly. Plenty of booking slots available even at fairly short notice and it was easy to find with plenty of parking. Easy to book online as well and to add, branding on the website and inside is on point. Food prices very reasonable and drinks were also not outrageous e.g. regular orange juice was £2. The food was nice with large portions so good value for money and the pub was clean and tidy. I’ve given 4 stars because although the food was nice - there wasn’t really anything special about it. They had a large table of people in when we arrived and so service was a little slow. We assumed it would get better when the table left but it actually just got worse. Despite there being a few staff sitting around talking to each other at the bar, we were given a dessert menu and sat there for 20 mins waiting to order some sundaes. When nobody passed by for us to order or ask for the bill, we gave up and just went to the bar to pay, leaving the dessert menus on the table. Not sure if they noticed - doubt anyone did to be honest, but it was a bit of a disappointing experience given the previous high ratings. You can’t expect high rated places on Google to always be 100% spot on, just felt it was nice but not a 5* on the day we went.
We stayed at Brooklyn Grange Farm and The Reform Inn is a 15-20 minute walk away. Great food, including some nice vegetarian choices - we enjoyed a 3 cheese and leek pie with rustic chips and fresh vegetables. The size of the serving was very generous! Afterwards, enjoy a drink in the snug or outside in the beer garden. Highly recommended!
Me and my husband both had fillet steak with chips and peppercorn sauce and it was piping hot and delicious, i had calamari for starters and my husband got garlic mushrooms with ciabatta bread both were flavoursome and came out quick! A note to those visiting is to walk to the “meet and greet” when you enter i didn’t see the sign and was stood at the entrance awkwardly waiting to be served
Was a fantastic evening here. The menu was refreshing, nice to see lots of tempting offers rather than the same old menu choices. Not only that though, the quality of food, was very good! Had the beef, cooked perfectly and the sauce was very flavoursome. Good choice of beers and wines available too. Had been before, but didn't realise there was outdoor seating available! Highly recommended.
Excellent! We live ten miles away but have now adopted this as our regular eating out venue. The food is outstanding and certainly the best within a reasonable distance from us. We now visit most weeks as it is worth the drive and we know we won’t be disappointed. Our dog is always made very welcome which is a bonus and the staff are superb. My wife loves the STILTON CHICKEN and I really recommend the LASAGNA but it’s all very good. By the way, the portions are very generous.
We were staying nearby, looking for an evening meal and found the Reform online. A lovely place AND turned out it was steak night! The quality of the steak was exceptional and plentiful - more than I could eat very unusual!. So we enjoyed an excellent meal in a lovely relaxed atmosphere at a very reasonable price. An 'extra' is the gorgeous surrounding countryside. Our short drive to the Reform was delightful!
Food was nice, service was polite, but very, *very* slow. For three of us it took an hour from sitting down to the food being on the table, and we had ordered within 5 minutes of sitting down. No explanation, no apology, no free drink while we waited we were drinking soda, just 'Yours is next' for 20 minutes. A shame as it's a nice place and my kid loved the food, but with so many other options in the area it's not worth the wait.
OUTSTANDING.If you are dining in or around Leek don't waste your time going anywhere else but her. Meals beautifully cooked and presented. Service staff always attentive. Prices are more than reasonable. Wish I could give it 6 stars.
Great food, great staff, fair price and a good atmosphere what more could you want
