Lovely slices of cake and hot drinks in a beautiful building. There's more seating upstairs via a spiral staircase with views of the cathedral. Very quiet and relaxing when we visited, possibly due to the foul weather.
Lovely coffee and cake. Excellent exhibition pieces on the walls. Service slow, although they did apologise. My major gripe is with the service staff's filthy clothes/aprons. For that reason only I wouldn't return
St David's was beautiful and we had coffee and a cake ..... home made and gorgeous
Just bought lamb cawl here the size of a coffee cup. There were two pieces of lamb in it and it was full of carrots and a few potatoes. Absolutely disgusting. What a rip off. Don’t spend money in here.
Slow service understaffed probably we waited a good 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive after ordering and paying. But really outstanding flat white. Ambience is ok, but nothing special or historic.
Worth a visit if you're going to the Cathedral.
VERY POOR !!! staff rude and loud…..thought it would be a lovely tranquil cafe as it is in a cathedral, but music was loud, tables not wiped properly, didn’t ask about track & trace. After a very peaceful walk about the cathedral, lighting candles for loved ones and remembering them, then going to cafe was such a let down! NEVER AGAIN, I will definitely visit cathedral but not cafe!
Just had 2 roast beef with apple crumble and custard on a day out with the wife and very impressed with the quality and low cost of the food. Would definitely recommend
Sign up the top of the hill said opening times of refectory being open, also online opening hours said it would be open. It was 2pm on a Saturday. Walked all the way there and it was closed! Receptionist said they had had no customers so has closed at 1pm. They could at least put a sign at the top of the hill to save peoples legs
