Had a roast here with my partner on Easter Sunday. First of all, it's a nice looking friendly local pub - and the staff were nice, helpful and efficient. The roast however was pretty disappointing, I went for a chicken roast, so can't comment on the other meats. What I received was well presented, and warm/ certainly cooked, the chicken supplied however was a whole small chicken, maybe a Bantum or something similar which meant there wasn't actually much meat involved - it was also tasteless, as was most of the Vegetables. Not normally one to bother leaving a review but I feel for the price and considering everything else is right some feedback would probably help. I would visit again and hope the quality had improved.
A very good place to relax. The room had such an incredibly atmospheric decor. These oldies were amazing. An old scale, a machine for making and buying cigarettes the first time I saw such a device, an old safe, an old climate lamp and a wooden trunk, all amazingRooms: 5/5
Nice pub with great seating area and friendly atmosphere. Food is very good and there is a good selection of drinks. Rooms are nice and cosy could do with the odd repair. Only negatives are the towels are small and the heating didn't come on when I stayed so the room got a bit cold.Rooms: 3/5
Stopped here for lunch again. Have eaten here frequently in recent years and it's a charming country Inn. The interior is nicely decorated with comfy chairs, and even a sofa facing the log burner! Lunch menu is more limited than dinner but still good choices and meal for 2 with drinks was £40. Staff were lovely and the regulars always say hello too! Try it. There are also lovely walks nearby, a great garden and easy parking. Food & drinks: Lovely pies, classic pub meals, good veggie options and nice range of beers
Exceeded expectations. Great food, great staff team, beautiful clean room and greeted with a smile. I will certainly booking the Redan Inn again. The care and consideration taken in every aspect of the stay with them was exceptional. Amazing fish and chips. Portion size was immense. Thank you team !
We stopped for lunch on a day out and order two burgers. The chips were overcooked to such an extent we could not eat them, and so was the burger. It was late, we were hungry so we had about half of the burger and left the rest. We did get an apology for the chips but they should have seen that the whole thing was terrible. We should have complained but too British!
After a misunderstanding/ mistake through a hotel booking site regarding whether or not the hotel allows pets, our booking was cancelled. The hotel apologised for the situation we were also travelling with our baby and assured us that we would receive a full refund. The refund never materialised and when I chased the matter through the website the hotel denied us the refund. Snakey
Food was poorly served and was of an inadequate standard, steak was cooked wrong and wasn’t provided with a steak knife, nor were we asked if we were happy with our food. Highly recommend you avoid it and try the Somerset wagon Rooms: 1/5
I love this place! Great relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, decor is beautiful and food is scrummy! Allergies catered for without hesitation. Staff are lovely, polite and attentive. Whole place is spotless; I might just move in!
