great working class no nonsense pub with pool tables and super cheap beer, go there before it gets refurbished ie gentrified

Lovely place. The staff is extremely helpful. Their Sunday roast is great. Good collection of drinks.

This pub has new management.The Red Lion doesn't serve Mexican Inspired Food anymore and I'm not sure if it serves food in the week. I'm certain it still serves Roast Dinner on a Sunday. It does have offers on alcohol like Two Cocktails For £8-95. The Red Lion is a good pub for a quiet drink and a chat. It has Disabled Toilet Facilities and a small Private Carpark. No Beer Garden just a few tables outside.

AWFUL CHEF Where do I start have they changed chef the food used to be great gone down hill ordered a burger it was stone cold in the middle took ages to come.  they have put the drink prices up too.  grubby pub do not eat yuk

Found this place by accident. We had a really good sunday roast here for a very good pricem staff was very nice.

Dog friendly,  very large Sunday roast for under £9. Very friendly and accommodating with animals. I really enjoyed it and so did the dogs.

Pub very old and worn out looking. I went there for the food, Heard that the kitchen just been taken over by two young men .food was fantastic and worth the money.

It was fairly empty, it was a nice place but there were signs up saying there would be table service and not to go to the bar, but we waited a while and no one came over so we ended up having to go to the bar to get drinks. It's a good place to get a drink after doing the chess valley walk.
