Popped in for a pint and ended up staying for some food.nPint of Thwaites Gold which was very drinkable. Had a look at the menu and ordered a nachos starter and a side of chips. Wow the size of the nachos is massive and tasty. But the chips, honestly the best triple cooked fries I've ever had, honestly the BEST.nAll this was served by some lovely staff who can either make or break an afternoon out. Thanks guys.
We have just returned from a 3night stay at the barns in Ellesmere&their helpful guide mentioned the Red Lion.On arriving Friday,we wondered into the centre&decided to eat here.We were served promply&in the most friendly manners by the owner mum&another gentleman who then served us everyday lol we ordered&received our food within 10/15 mins.Everything was hot,tasty&you get a right good portion at a more than reasonable cost!We enjoyed our food so much we returned Saturday AND had the most DELICIOUS roast on Sunday Lamb i wouldn’t hesitate to return to the red lion with my family.Food,staff&the lovely oldie worldie feel of the pub/restaurant are fab.Thanks so much to all the staff we encountered,and of course,the chefs : xxx
Booked for lunch with friends as we was staying in the local area. Food was absolutely gorgeous and so glad we booked. Food is cooked fresh and specials are worth a look. High recommend the Surf and Double Turf!! Position size means you will walk away stuffed.
Hadn't booked a table, very busy but found a table for two. Friendly cheerful staff great value, lovely food. Even have a doggy menu for your 4 legged friends,
Our 4th stay group of 4 on MotorcyclesSuperb VFM,rooms not unsuited,but works OK for us. Always clean,and very comfortable bed.nStaff are top notch ,friendly, helpful,very welcoming. Food 5* pub food . Could not fault it. We will be back. Thank you.
