Heesham is a connoisseur of antiques with fascinating histories. Add to that his warm and happy disposition and I've started liking Glasgow even more thanks to this Little gem of a shop. Adorable place. Highly recommended for the crows and magpies of this world.
Found this place by accident - an absolute gem! If you like a rummage shop then this is for you - would have got more tho ha but was heading for the train! Owner is such a nice guy happy to help and haggle on a deal!
Stumbled on this place recently just visiting from the US: it’s tiny but has some gems, and the prices seemed quite fair. The man at the counter was so kind and friendly. If we were locals this would be a regular spot for sure.
The worst place I have ever been. I have never been treated like that in my life. The guy is awful. I went there yesterday and I noticed some objects I liked. I decided to think about it and then went back in after few hours to buy them. I asked if it was possible to pay by card and the guy said that having a card machine is difficult for them. I said that it was very strange, considering that it was the 3rd millennium, but I went on the street to withdraw cash. I came back with cash and the guy started telling at me 'See?? I do not have a card machine, I am not lying! You say I am a liar, you are rude, it is difficult for us! '. He went on for 10 minutes like this. I withdrew cash for him and he continued for 10 minutes complaining because I said 'I have never seen a shop in the UK that does not have a card machine, this is why I am surprised'. Now, I am 55 kgs, 1.60cm tall. The guy at least 80 kgs, 1.85cm tall was yelling very close to me for no reason. This is just enough to describe how awful was the situation for a woman in a small place with an angry man. In addition, considering that I was a customer who entered in the shop 3 times in few hours to buy his objects, this treatment was even less acceptable. Actually, this is just insane. Worst experience of my life.
Popped in yesterday and was amazed at how reasonably priced all the pieces are...the owner is very friendly and truly gives you a deal. I got a beautiful painted vintage mirror from the 1920s and a huge renaissance painting without breaking the bank at all. The owner adds gems every day so I will definitely be back!
Good trader, always polite, with business savvy, and commercial awareness.
Many great gems to be found here
