Friendly staff but long queues, no one on tills, clearance section in the cafe, no pricing on a lot of shelves, the cafe is very dirty and disorganised. Lots of good products but staff seem a little clueless often calling others to have 3 people working one prob. No drop kerb on most of disabled bays. No clear signage for lift. Toilets good. Sink was leaking a bit but clean for most part and disabled pull cord not tied up..bonus. very warm upstairs like uncomfortably so. Just needs some organising and tidying and maybe more staff.
The selection in the store was very good however the one star rating and poor review is about the staff. We found a throw which didn’t have a price label underneath this seemed to be a common occurrence throughout the store. We asked a lady who we now know is called Yvonne how much it was, she went to scan it and told us it was £7. Then after getting to the tills with the rest of the shopping the laundry basket we were buying which said £5 on the label came to £9.99. Then the throw which she told us was £7 came to £9.99 as well. She was called back to the tills as we wanted to ask about why the price was different from what she told us. A member of staff told her it was £9.99 and she said “yeah that’s what I thought it was”. So we asked her why did you tell us it was £7 then? And she said no I did not which we then told her she did. She then pulled a face at us, rolled her eyes and said “you must’ve heard me wrong then” and walked off. Her manner and attitude was beyond rude and disrespectful as well as unprofessional. I would be ashamed if I was her manager.
I used to visit the Range branch at Widnes before its closure. It is so amazing to find that there is a bigger shop in the Warrington central area. The shop size is huge with 2 floors. There is also Iceland inside the store. They should be very good partners that provide synergy and additional convenience to the customers. There are different categories of items including household, stationery, bedding, electrical appliances, etc.. I feel specially excited to find Wilko products here again. Nevertheless, it seems that they don't have enough staff. Besides, there is no clear direction about the distribution of different products. Hopefully, the shop management will improve asap
How are you meant to shop for anything when certain isles are blocked well within opening hours?nI wanted buy something, but I can't because the whole isle cannot be accessed.nMight as well close the business! It's a no brainer!!
This store is not my cup of tea, but I do understand that some people like shopping here. You can buy almost anything here. But saying that not all items are at bargain prices. Also I have to say that it could do with a proper organisation of stock. Cafe is a nice addition and cafe staff is very friendly.
