Went into The Range in Babbacombe for some bedding for house guests and stumbled upon their lovely wee cafe upstairs. The Costa coffee and sausage roll was to die for. Mark in the cafe was efficient, polite and super funny. Thanks for the laughs and the excellent service Mark! Keep up the excellent work. Loads of parking and the prices are brilliant in here. I’m hooked! Tonnes of amazing bargains for the garden in here too!
Be careful what you buy and make sure its not faulty in any way as refused to take back a mirror that fell off the wall and broke because the fixing point in the frame broke " not fit for purpose" but no they wouldn't take it back as faulty goods as l'd had it too long. Just outside their time frame. Cost £120 . What a waste of my money! Buyer beware!
Like all good "The Ranges' this has a customer toilet. And believe me. When your away from home a hundred plus miles. A toilet is a good thing. It allowed me to part ways with a few pounds.
1st time we have visited this one and it will be the last. Price you pay isn't the one marked up. Totally disorganized & ok it's a Saturday & the run up to Christmas but the Staff are so rude, asked 1 lady where the replacement sofa foam was. "DOWN STAIRS IN TEXTILES" in an abrupt manner then sharply went back to her computer screen. Check out assistant didn't give you time to pack in our case we just put it all against the wall. No please, thank you or anything. You all should work on your people skills. The 2 star was for the ample parking.
Due to wrong price tags, the constantly try to overcharge u at the check out. Poor customer service and a brand I would never trust. If u want to get ripped off, shop at the range. Infact we have encountered this pos over charging at other range stores.
Price on shelves not honoured at the till. They charge different prices to advertised on display. Refused to honour advertised price. Left store. Won't be back. Poor!
The so called manager, Viktor, is absolutely despicable! We went in to get a refund on some Christmas lights/decorations that had broken and stopped working after 3 weeks and he all but called us liars and told us to our faces that he won't refund anything to us because he believed we were "pulling a fast one"!!! I've never in my life known of a 'manager' to treat customers like it! He was rude, confrontational, annoying and bitter from the moment he was asked to come out of his office to help us. He was unprofessional and quite frankly looked unkempt! His shirt was unironed and untucked and he didn't even come over to introduce himself to us! He embarrassed us in front of a store full of people and didn't think there was anything wrong in what he was doing! We were fully within our rights to receive a refund but he wouldn't even listen to us. I am beyond livid about our treatment and we will NEVER shop at The Range, Torquay again! I will be following this all up with headquarters and doing everything in my power to get an apology from Viktor himself as well as seeing to it that he is disciplined over his shocking behaviour and treatment of his customers!
Large store with a wide selection of stock, great prices although not everything has a price tag which can lead me not to buy the item
Huge range of competitively priced products, very helpful & friendly staff. But the displays & gondolas are rather crowded together
A smaller store than Exeter but still has a good variety of stock from Household to Christmas decs. Good parking area around the store. Staff were helpful during my visit.
