Went to the store to ask to exchange a product under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 as product was faulty. As far as I was aware as an Argos customer my receipt was my contract with the seller and I was just expressing my rights as a customer. The item cost me 280 pounds and I bought it as a Christmas present but the problem occurred after 10 weeks so as you can imagine I was not happy as it was a product needed for use on a daily basis. The impression I got as a customer was that the store were more concerned about company image than customer service and did not want to listen to my complaint in front of other customers (very few in store) for any length of time and as a result the store manager banned me from the store there and then and when I refused to leave until my problem was resolved he called the police to escort me from the store. Fortunately, the product sales support call handling team kindly resolved the issue once I had left the store sending an email clarifying the product was faulty and that the issue would need to be resolved in-store asap which was a little difficult as I had been banned from the store I regularly up until now visit. However, the following day I visited the new Argos store at Sainsbury's Torquay The Willows and at that store they were happy to listen to my complaint... the faulty product returned... and an exchange made. Problem solved. I do hope this review reaches head office as a lot can be learned all round from my experience. Customer service is paramount especially in Torbay where high street shops are already dwindling and it is not an offence to complain about a faulty product.

Dr Veale is a wonderful GP , very knowledgeable, lovely manner and the surgery is so organised.Adnin staff and receptionists are also lovely with patients. I feel reassured my health is in good hands.Thank you
