The Range Bar

My partner is local to here and recommended attending as I can get a little scared in large pubs and clubs, this place is a beautiful gem, the decor is very tasteful and the fact it is on a golf range gives it the appeal of a high class place. We have visited quite a few tribute acts here and have always had an incredible night, the place can fill up fast showing how popular it is and there is always a lovely mix of ages which make you feel more comfortable. The staff are friendly and the drink prices aren't as bad as you expect. I really do love coming here, highly recommended!

I've only ever come here in the week on Wednesdays as a catch up with friends but it's a great pub. It's a little out the way as in surrounded mainly by golf course which is attached to the pub and farm land / fields but I like that. I've never been but friends have said on a weekend they sometimes put tribute acts on or like 80's / 90's nights and they are amazing I've been told. Staff are friendly and holds a lot of people. They also have a front and back garden section to drink outside in warmer months if wish.

A great modern building, good bar and nice staff. Just too loud... The disco is louder than the live acts, you just can't get away to be able to talk with your friends, came out with a banging headache, would like a quiet zone. Honestly louder is not always better.

My friends and I attended The Range Bar, for a tribute night by our friend Dave Largie. Kelly, was extremely helpful in the many enquiries I made to facilitate our party of friends. We had a fantastic time and the venue was lovely and modern, bright environment, friendly staff and crowd, brilliant DJ and efficient bar staff. The toilets were lovely and clean, ran out of loo roll, but it was a busy night! Will attend again real soon. Thumbs up and pat on the back for the VERY helpful Kelly.

I went to see an excellent 90s cover band Ultra 90s. Great atmosphere. Excellent security staff. Fierce air-conditioning! Plenty of parking outside. Clean loos. Fine night out.

Appalling service, a large party of us went there last night for a friends birthday, to see hey, hey baby. There was a power cut so the show didn’t go ahead - and they closed the club. Would not give a refund said they had to contact their manager - apparently no management there, promised they would contact today to arrange refund. No contact from them. Although the power cut wasn’t their fault I’m sure they will be claiming compensation so will get paid twice for the evening and it looks like the paying customer will be the ones who lose out.

If you want a great night out.. then the Range is your place to be! Amazing management Team especially Kelly.. Always smiling, helpful, friendly and welcoming : Great bar staff.. Polite and they work very hard ensuring customers are served efficiantly and quickly. Very Clean place and brilliant atmosphere. What more could you want. Definatley recommend!

I have been RIPPED off and CONNED. Turned up in January, with my partner and two friends, all dressed very respectfully. I had bought three tickets and as a result wasted £15! My friend was refused entry because apparently his Sandwell Council ID was not valid in that particular establishment. This ID has been valid in every pub and club previously and as my friend does not drive or hold a passport, this is all he could reasonably provide. The bouncers refused to let us speak to management I'm since glad they did and even suggested we go back home TO TIPTON! and get his BIRTH CERTIFICATE! Explained all this very politely to the lady in charge off the place battle axe by the name of Kelly who outright refused to refund me, telling me I was arguing over 15 pounds. Last thing she said was: Contact your bank I'm done, then told me there was nobody more important than her. Can't review the place as I only took one step in the door. But the management are a complete circus. The law is apparently above the likes of our Kel.

Really good night out. Venue clean and tidy. Bar staff were friendly and efficient, never had to wait more than a few mins all night.
