Made my first visit today - and I will definitely be going back. Excellent food - home cooked, really flavoursome, big portions and great value for money. For the record, we had the burger, the gammon steak and the Glamorgan sausages. All brilliant. Nice malty pint of 'Tick Tock' bitter off the hand-pumps - wish I could have stayed for some more, but I was on a family visiting mission. A great welcome and lovely attentive customer service from nice people running the bar and the kitchen. The fact that it's half-way up a mountain immediately tells you it's not going to be a Wetherspoons. But the sheer quality of the food, ale and service is the real difference. This is a great, individual pub vision, rather than a cheap formula to be replicated across the land in the name of share price and dividends.
