I had my second appointment with Sonja Bass at The Pure Practice today and was again impressed by her ability to quickly assess which exercises to 'prescribe' and the short massage/pummeling that enabled me to walk home in less pain than I arrived! All of this was delivered with friendly conversation and a smile. Thank you, Sonja!
I have used Pure practice for both physio with Sonja and Rachael but also sport massage with Amy since 2019. Physio appointments have been bang on the money of diagnosis when having an injury but also given exercises online to continue to do at home or gym. Amy massages are amazing and the right level of pressure especially for someone who trains a lot at CrossFit. All in all amazing team!
I would highly recommend the service I received at The Pure Practice. Rachael is fantastic offering plenty of new ideas and exercises to use and get back to full fitness as quickly as possible. It is also really easy for students to receive discounted appointments and support from sports teams as well. Please, do go and check them out!
I have been attending The Pure Practice for over 10 years now and can highly recommend. There is no need to put up with niggles or suffer too long with injuries if you see Sonya or Rachael. A pragmatic and holistic approach to physio rehab so you can get back to doing what you love/need to do as quickly as possible. Their aim is resolve your issues in the best way possible so you don't need to see them. A refreshing and positive experience.
Really enjoy coming to the Pure Practice for Pilates with Rachael. She’s a great teacher, makes everyone feel so welcome and always explains the exercises so well. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending.
Sonja and Rachel have been amazing at diagnosing and treating my hamstring tear and gluteal tendinopathy. I highly recommend them. On top of their knowledge, they're incredibly understanding and patient. The whole team are fab! I also like the fact that they have different experts on site to see you through the whole rehab process. The reformer pilates has really helped me.
If you have aches and pains, Pure Practice is where you should go! You always receive a warm and friendly welcome, I see Sonja Bass who is excellent. Not only she sorts you out, with a calm and confident manner, but we also have a laugh along the way. I walk out much brighter and in far less discomfort. Highly recommend for a physio session and tips for good health!

Having struggled with my fitness after 2 back operations, I started to go to The Pure Practise where Rachael Whitehouse gave Pilates classes. At first on a one to one basis and then I progressed to a weekly class. All during the first Lockdown, Rachael carried on with Zoom classes. Now that we are back face to face I am continuing to get stronger and will keep going for as long as I can. I can honestly say that, at nearly 80 years old, I have not felt so fit for a very long time!
Great physiotherapy practice. Having been lucky and only ended up with niggles rather than pain over my years of over enthusiastic clumsiness, Rachel took the time to find the root causes of my ailments and together we have a program that is: a working bachievable I really appreciate the extra time they took particularly during the pandemic - when people invest in to you it acts as a great motivator to "do physiotherapy" rather than just go to one!
