A typical Witherspoon pub in the centre of Bridlington. It was busy but we found a table easily. We ordered food at the bar. Three starters and dips, four main courses and four alcoholic drinks. The cost was £73.00 in total we thought really good value for money. The food was brought to the table quickly. The majority of the food was excellent but one of the steaks had a large piece of gristle running through it. We did complain to the waiter but it sort of fell on deaf ears. The rest of the food was excellent. The atmosphere was friendly. We enjoyed our visit and we would eat here again.
The prior John is a stunning Wetherspoons. There is a lovely glass domed ceiling just inside the entrance. The staff are very friendly and efficient. When we arrived at lunchtime the place was packed out but the food arrived very quickly. The is a very wide choice of beers, lagers, and cider, and a good choice of hand pulled cask conditioned real ales at very cheap prices.
Went for breakfast after arriving on day trip, lovely service and food, even though it was very busy found a table easily.nWhile waiting for food I was busy watching a young man carrying 4 plates at a time delivering outstanding service and returning dirty pots on his way back.nHe literally never stopped working what an outstanding young man with a lovely smile that you employ, he is an absolute asset your business and deserves recognition for his work ethic. I overheard someone call him Tyler which I hope is the correct name.
We both have visited many times while visiting the area and can honestly say we both have no real complaints about these premises other than the gents toilets being upstairs, we found staff to be pleasant and attentive, a great beer garden to the rear for the sunnier bridlington days.
This Wetherspoons has improved since our first visits. Having been extended, it's now a great 'spoons!nnNice family atmosphere, with young families taking the opportunity for a cheap meal/drinks.nnIf it wasn't for Wetherspoons, we'd never eat out in a pub. Everywhere else is just too expensive.nnNow has outdoor seating... maybe we'll get the weather for it one day this year!
